Tales Of Sorts (Stories) Empty Tales Of Sorts (Stories)

Post by Guest Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:21 am

Hey! This is a topic for my stories. Windy's (Wendy's?) stories. Either way. Somethings you might want to know about them are:
- Most I make up on the spot; which is the reason most of them are unedited. Pretty much all of the time I'll have a basic storyline/plot thought out. xD
- The majority of my posts are going to be warrior cat fan fiction. I'll try some poetry, but it usually comes out like a song that no one can hear but me, so it doesn't make sense. If you're wondering, I do write in other genres. Just ask if you want to know which. x3 Or don't if you couldn't care less. Laughing
- I don't own warrior cats, nor do I claim I do. The idea is Erin Hunter's, but my OCs are mine.
- I think I'm done here. I'll try and post as much as I can, even though most of the time I never follow up on past works.

- Wind, out.

Title: Hit the Sky
Genre: Warrior cat fan fiction
Type: Short story
View point: First person

"What're we going to do?" The trembling, scrap of a black cat next to me meowed. I was terrified myself, but I managed to lean forward and give her ear a soothing lick.

"I don't know. We'll find a way." I murmured, glancing around at the dark forest enclosing us.

I'm.... well, I don't have a name. My parents didn't see fit to give me or my sister ones before they.... we're rogues. Or loners. Cats who live by themselves and owe no debt of loyalty to any other being. I've never known anything different and neither has my sister.

We look identical-- slender, pitch-black she-cats at around six moons of age --but the difference is in our eyes. Mine are a burning amber, which I think does not match me at all and makes me feel like a slavering, blood-hungry fox. Those red eyes scare me when I look in my reflection. Then my sister reminded me that they aren't really red. She described them as a pair of suns. Anyways, my sister herself has beautiful, pale blue eyes.

"But, they're dead." My sister whispered, her tail curling around her paws anxiously.

Shuddering, I turned away from here, wanting to forget that fact. "...Yes."

Several minutes passed, with not a sound but the restless wind rustling the trees.

"I want a name." She spoke again.

"Why?" There was no point in that. We wouldn't talk to any other cats for the rest of our lives most likely. It was just how we were raised.

"Now that they're gone, I don't want to be alone. I'm sorry, sister." Her tail-tip touched my shoulder gently, drawing over my shoulder blade comfortingly. "Other cats have names. If I want to live amongst them, I have to have one too."

I swung my head around, staring back into her lovely teal eyes. Fear. She was terrified she couldn't make it out here with just me. She didn't trust me. Fear and defensiveness warred in her gaze as she watched me.

"Go then." I allowed myself one lash of my tail. "Call yourself Bluejay." Full of chattering talk, then a coward when danger appears. I couldn't tell her that, so... "For your blue eyes."

Bluejay dipped her head and I felt her tongue rasp against my cheek. I flinched away. "Farewell, sister. I'll wear your name in your memory." A hint of scorn tinged her tone and I heard twigs crunch when she padded away disdainfully.

She doesn't even think I could make it! Growling, I stalked in the opposite direction of Bluejay. I'll show her! I'll live alone and I'll give myself a name.

......

Chirps of the birds settling down for rest filled my ears and I sat down on the dew-laden grass, head tipped ack to gaze at the night sky.

If my parents are anywhere, they're there.

Ears twitching in the late night breeze, I waited stone-still as the bird's cries faded into silence. The darkness thickened and turned completely opaque. The trees became shadows in the night, layers of black on black. I was a part of this; my ebony pelt blending in wonderously.

Closing my eyes, I thought things over. The ache in my heart was still present. There was something new, though. A yearning to belong. To have someone to love. Someone that would always stick by my side. A partner.

Shuddering at the force of the unquenchable thirst, I listened for something, anything.

The wind breathed in my heart, a lonely, heart-broken sigh. It touched me, ran through my fur, seeming to share my pain, even though I hdn't voiced it. The wind wailed in the distance, over and over, crying for someone to calm it, care for it.

At that moment, I knew.

I was Wind.

Hit the Sky is completed! Second post in this topic! x3 I hope it gives a little more background on WindPaw. Who knows, I might continue it.

The following is a kind of vent. What's going through my mind at the moment, basically.

"What do I do?!" I paced my room, pulling at my hair in a frenzy of indecision. "I don't know what to be. People aren't going to care for me any way I try."

Biting my lip on the verge of tears, I sat down on the edge of my bed. "I know how to play basketball. I just don't really want to do it anymore. I can't do anything else, though."

Suddenly my eyes caught the picture of him. Groaning, I turned my head away. "You started this, jerk. YOU got me interesting in music. Even though I have like, no talent at all and am way too shy to take vocal lessons or get in stage in front of anyone."

"Stop whining, gosh. Your life is not that bad." I scolded myself and walked away from his picture, rolling my eyes at it.

Lol, I don't even know.

Since the vent above is nonsense, I'm posting some deep thoughts.

Emotions control us. They shape us, bring us down, or make us feel like we're floating on a cloud.

Anger is the poison. When you're angry it clouds your mind and you spit out anything hurtful you can, without a care for the person's feelings. You simply don't care. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you know that what you're doing is wrong, but your sense of fury overrides it nearly every time. And than, afterwards when your anger is gone, you're left with stone-cold remorse. You think you could've done better, acted more mature in the fight or something. Anything.

Sorrow is a weight. You carry it around everywhere, and you can't drop it. It's so heavy you focus on it, and block out the rest of the world.

Happiness is a balloon. It inflates and starts to fly away with you. Woot woot!

Loneliness is a shadow. You're reminded of it whenever you look around and think you are alone. It follow you where ever you go.

Hate is a storm. It boils and roars, ready to destroy everything if it gets big enough.

Love is a lawyer. It makes you see only the bright sides of your true love and you don't care what they've done in the past, you just want to be with them now. So, so much. Or whatever you love. A stuffed animal, broccoli, a movie...

Now, on that note, I would like to tell to you the tale of FireClan. A Clan that no longer exsists, with nothing more than it's name and old memories to prove it was ever here. (It was actually on CB, and my of the cats mentioned in this story are my best friends. But for now I'll tell it through a StarClan cat's perspective.):

Greetings. I am Redtail, once deputy of ThunderClan. It was not my destiny to be leader or perhaps it was. If so, my fate was stolen from me by that murderer Tigerstar, who does not deserve the name of a leader. The cats I am about to tell you of were much the same. They were called FireClan.

FireClan was created by Brightspark (soon to be Brightstar), Lionstrike, Iceclaw, Swiftclaw, Silverstream, Cinderfang and Spicefire. ((I can't remember the second part of Spice's name, so I made it up.)) Brightstar was elected leader with Lionstrike as deputy. Many cats do not know this part of FireClan's history because it was so short-lived. Brightstar was killed in battle, leaving the Clan to Lionstar, who in turn appointed Swiftclaw as deputy. The Clan grew and grew, becoming powerful. However, it was still little-known among the other Clans, due to the little to none interaction with them. The Clan did not attend gatherings. Lionstar was a key point in this. Having been deputy for such a short time, he was inexperienced with the ways of leadership. He tried hard, though and all his cats respected him. One day, Lionstar made a mistake. He fell in love with Sorrelstar, leader of BlazeClan. Only his best friends in the Clan, Swiftclaw, Iceclaw and Cinderfang knew about his forbidden love. Lionstar asked Sorrelstar to be his mate-- a foolish move. She rejected him, but they continued meeting in secret. Unknown to Lionstar until that time, Sorrelstar had a mate, Thornclaw. She had told him that repeatedly after he asked her to be his mate. He asked her several more times and she refused. Eventually, the inevitable took place; Thornclaw found out about Lionstar and Sorrelstar. He was enraged, as was his right, but Sorrelstar soothed him with the fact that she was expected his kits, not Lionstar's.

When Sorrelstar was away nursing her kits, Lionstar encountered another she-cat, Poppystar. She fell in love with him and asked him to be her mate. Having no feelings for the she-cat and not wanting to let go of Sorrelstar, Lionstar declined. Full of hurt and rage, Poppystar led her rather small Clan ((forgot the name)) into battle against FireClan. The whole "war" was basically Poppystar attacking Lionstar and Lionstar, Sorrelstar, Iceclaw and Cinderfang trying to calm her down. ((Swiftclaw wasn't online at the time)). Eventually, Poppystar was killed in the battle. Afterwards, she came from StarClan and spoke to Lionstar in a dream. She tried to convince him to join StarClan and be with her. He denied her request and life for FireClan went on as normal.

When Sorrelstar's kits were born, she brought them to the border to show Lionstar. While he was admiring them, she made a confession; the kits were Lionstar's. And Thornclaw's. In shock, Lionstar tried to comprehend what had happened as Sorrelstar escorted her kits back to the BlazeClan camp.

One day, Sorrelstar visited Lionstar with the news that her mate Thornclaw had gone. She had also been in a relationship with another previous mate of her's Eaglefang during the time she was speaking frequently with Lionstar. Of course, that added to the problem. Lionstar, Eaglefang, and the news about his kits might've been too much hurt for Thornclaw to bear.

Sorrelstar stopped meeting with Lionstar after that, much to Lionstar's devestation. A long period of time went by without any action.

It wasn't long though, before another forbidden-love-type situation came in. A FireClan warrior, Stormfire, fell in love with two cats, Hawkfire and Clawedeye. He met Clawedeye first, but became mates with Hawkfire. Clawedeye was angered and started fighting with Stormfire and Hawkfire. Since he loved them both, Stormfire turned to Lionstar for help. Lionstar intervened and Clawedeye attacked him. As was his right, Lionstar threw her out of FireClan.

Shortly after that, Swiftclaw, the deputy of FireClan, left the Clan to join SteelClan with her new mate. Lionstar replaced her with Iceclaw and life in FireClan went on as usual.

Swiftclaw ended up becoming deputy of SteelClan, and then killing one of the members of SteelClan after a quarrel, returned to FireClan in the end. She told Lionstar that her mate had died of a mysterious disease and that the leader of SteelClan now held a grudge against her. He listened, but did not let her return to her rank as deputy. Instead, Swiftclaw began training as a medicene cat.

The decline of FireClan began after. FireClan started to lose members and incidents such as Swiftclaw and Eaglefang being seen together occured. The major battle that happened, probably the biggest in FireClan's history, was between FC and DeathClan. At the time, Silverstar was the leader of the Clan. A member of FireClan named Leafcloud ((I think.)) broke the heart of a DeathClan warrior named Greystripe. It was more complicated than that, but the issue was never really resolved and DeathClan declared war on FireClan on behalf of their warrior.

DeathClan was a much bigger Clan than FireClan at that time, so FireClan used their best option, negotiation. Lionstar didn't bother to fight, just talked with Silverstar. Iceclaw was an essential part in the battle, fighting bravely and talking with Leafcloud to clear the problem up. Finally, Lionstar and Silverstar together declared a retreat.

When that ended, FireClan withdrew into their territory. Lionstar took a mate, Mossstar, who left her new Clan DarkClan to join FireClan as Mossshadow. He loved her, but he still yearned to be with Sorrelstar in the back of his heart. They had one litter of four kits. Lionstar lost his nine lives, one after another until he was left with only one. Old and weary with his Clan dying, Lionstar strove to keep going. Mossshadow once saw him speaking to Sorrelstar during his last days and pretty much had an emotional breakdown. Lionstar and Sorrelstar soothed her that she was still Lionstar's mate and love. She was content.

The thing that killed him was Clawedeye and Iceclaw. Iceclaw wanted to be leader, and Clawedeye visited her in a dream, telling her that it was Lionstar's time to die. Together they assaulted Lionstar, telling him over and over that his time was over. Eventually, he gave in and died. Iceclaw became Icestar and Swiftclaw became her deputy. Icestar brought the Clan together, but it remained one of the smaller Clans in the forest.
